Thought:
Sorry for being a little dark yesterday. Today good news as I finish Mark. Reading 16:7 today. The tomb is empty the stone rolled away [not so Jesus could get out, but so we could see the tomb was empty]. Other gospels give us more information and details, but the angel tells us all we really need to know.
  • He is risen. The grave could not hold Him, Satan could not defeat Him, He is victorious.
  • Go and tell. Not only did Jesus leave us with the Great Commission, even those first visitors to the tomb heard the command--go and tell. I love that the Lord does not give complicated commands. Read all the instructions in the Bible and there are very few complicated directions. Love the Lord and love your neighbor. Don't kill, commit adultery, steal, lie. Here the problem is not the complexity of the command but the obedience. The command has not changed--simply go and tell.
  • He is going before you. What a blessed thought. Today, He goes before me. Tomorrow, He goes before me. In trouble, He goes before me. If joy, He goes before me. In the valley of the shadow of death, He goes before me. Into the operating room, the cancer treatment, the rehab--He goes before me.
  • You will see Him. He is going before us, but we will see Him. In the Spirit, we will see His hand, feel His presence, know His truth, experience His peace. And then we will see Him face to face. Earlier this week, we were singing "Because He Lives." This morning, call up Sandi Patti and Larnel Harris singing "We Shall Behold Him."
  • It will be just like He said. Every promise fulfilled. Every passage of the scripture completed.
Until we see Him face to face--go and tell that He is risen. One day we will see Him face to face!

Blessings
Larry
