Thought:
Ever have a day when you ask why doesn't God ________________? Or when will God ______________? I am reading Isaiah 59:1-2 this morning. When God seems to have gone silent. When God seems to have abandoned us. When things seem to be so bad, yet we cannot see God moving. Larry, remember what Isaiah says:
  • God's failure to act is not due to a lack of power or might. God is omnipotent; He never has a shortage of power or strength. Is anything too difficult for God? No, He spoke worlds into existence.
  • God's failure to respond is not because He took off His hearing aid--His ears hear everything. His eyes see everything. His mind understands everything.
  • The problem is not at God's end--it is always at my end. His ability has not changed. His character has not changed. His purpose and plan have not changed. His communication equipment is always working. When I have a problem seeing God's hand or hearing God's voice--the problem is always at my end of the line.
God through Isaiah tells me the problem: My sins separate. My sins hide His face.

Forgive me Lord, for it is not You who changed or moved--it is me. So I join with David--cleanse me, forgive me, restore me. Restore the joy of my salvation. For You alone are God.

Blessings
Larry
