Thought:
Looking at Psalms 146-150 this morning. As we thank God for our freedom this week, remember His many blessings, prepare to join together tomorrow for worship, reading these psalms are truly appropriate. Just look at all the reasons they give for praising the Lord.
  • He made heaven and earth [146:6], placed the stars in space and gives them names [147:4; 148:5]
  • He is faithful forever [146:6]
  • He provides our food [146:7; 147:14], sends the rains [147:8]
  • He sets us free [146:7]
  • He heals us and opens our eyes [146:8]
  • He protects the weak [146:9]
  • He heals broken hearts[147:3]
Then the chapters tell us all the ways to praise Him:
  • Everywhere--in His sanctuary, in His creation,
  • All the time, morning and night
  • With musical instruments, with rejoicing voices,
  • With dancing
Lord, may our lives me a celebration of Your love, goodness, grace and mercy and a sacrifice of praise.

Blessings
Larry
